Schützenverein Membership 2024-2025 (GAS Subgroup)

The St. Hubertus Schützenverein is a group within the overall umbrella of the German-American Societies of San Diego.  We promote air rifle shooting and camaraderie in a traditional German manner.

Our membership year is from June 1- May 31 of the following year.  Membership is contingent on your membership in the German American Societies.   Membership may be purchased as:

• Adult:                                         $40 per year
• Jung-Schützen:                           $40 per year
• Donations also accepted

About our group:  The St. Hubertus Schützenverein is an under-group to the San Diego German American Societies.  We participate in 10 meter, Olympic style shooting with .177 caliber air rifles in our indoor shooting range at the German American Society clubhouse.  We travel to other clubs such as Anaheim, Las Vegas, San Jose and Arizona to compete against other groups.  We also host a yearly Schützenfest in San Diego welcoming clubs from all over to compete on our range and against our team.

Schützen Membership types: 

Our membership year is from June 1- May 31 of the following year.  Membership in the German American Societies is prerequisite to Schützenverein membership..

• Adults: $40 per year.  Open to GAS members 21+ years.  This is full membership in the group and will allow you to actively participate with our group and vote in all group elections. As a member you may, if you so desire, compete in the König tournament for the "top shot" of our group.  All competitive shooters will have priority when shooting range is open in order to have adequate time for practice. All Competitive members will be able to qualify for all awards during competition. 
• Jung-Schützen: $40 per year.  This membership is for youth 10 to 21 years of age with an interest in competitive marksmanship.  Open to children of GAS Club members with a current GAS Family membership.
