Event Summary

You are invited to join friends celebrate Maifest at the German American Societies in El Cajon on Saturday, 5 May 2024. 

  • Attendance is open to all for a modest charge and free for our members with a current (2025) membership card. 
  • A packaged entry and luncheon package is offered for $26.  It includes:
    • Entry 
    • Meal Platte
      • Choice of 1 of the following: Curry Wurst, Kartoffelsuppe or Wiener
      •  any 2 of the side dishes: Rotkohl (red cabbage), Käsespätzle or Brezel (Pretzel)
    • Dessert
  • Members with current (2025) membership card should purchase package without entry ($21)
Event Details
  • The day will feature
    • youth folk dancers,
    • live music  by Da Stube Buben,
    • short musical performances by House of Germany Chior
    • craft and membership booths
    • a chance to socialize with friends and fellow club members
    • celebrate the "Wonnemonat Mai" (merry month of May)
  • The event will run from 11 am to 7 pm
  • We will have our regular assortment of fine German beers,
  • Additional seasonal drinks include Maibock (traditional strong, malty Bavarian lager) and Maibowle (May wine punch)
